How Do I Qualify for the Ohio Lemon Law?

Generally, both the lemon law in Ohio and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act require that any defect in your vehicle or other consumer product be repaired within a "reasonable number of attempts". Each state's lemon law may also define specific situations where the vehicle is presumed to not have been repaired within a reasonable number of attempts.

So, you are still wondering how to determine if you qualify under the Ohio Lemon Law. Ask yourself the following questions:

Was the vehicle purchased for normal household use (i.e. not for commercial or business use)? If it was purchased for business use, you may still qualify for relief under other laws.

Was a warranty provided from the manufacturer with the purchase of the vehicle? It need not have been purchased new if you still received a warranty.

Has the same problem with the vehicle been repaired at least three times and/or has the vehicle been out of service 30 days or more for repairs?
